When using rulers, it's important to extend the area around the needle plate, to give you support for your hand and the ruler or template. It's a safety issue! There is a custom-designed ruler base for each of Handi Quilter's movable-carriage longarm machines. Use the Ruler Base accessory to extend the base of the machine and provide stability when using rulers, guides, and templates.
