Hello gals and guys!
I recently purchased a floor model Capri 18 from a store that was liquidating. Because it was a one-of, I returned a week later after it was said to be serviced and I brought it home. Other than sewing a few minutes on it I didn't get any one-0n-0ne time, which would have been difficult since they didn't have another one on site and it's over an hour away quite rurally. Not being afraid of a challenge I figured out most of it and have successfully played on it and got to know it for a week.
However, there are portions of it not appearing to work i.e. the Regulated mode, the tension sensor, the in-sight sensors. HQ sent me a new table insert with the appropriate cables and it continued to sew the same, although still couldn't access the Reg mode. Could certainly be me, but I've read and read the manual, watched a zillion youtubes and nothing I could find was related to my issue.
Yesterday I decided to download the HQ zipped sensor file which was just uploaded 8/22/22 to the HQ site. Since then I've discovered through people on Facebook that it's intended for the stand up capri not the sit down....?? I assume stand up with the handles?? So that's unfortunate because I didn't find THAT little nugget out until AFTER I had tried to update the machine.
Since then, and after several different shut down/leave it alone/waiting etc I have NO screen and there is a timed beep that beeps 3x then a pause and then 3x more. I reread the manual and it says that "When the display update button is selected, the screen will go blank and you will bear three beeps until the update has been completed then the screen comes back on." I let it carry on for 10 mins....should I try again and just somehow try to ignore the beep or can someone tell me what my next idea should be?
I plan on being the first caller to the main office in the morning.....
Thanks for all your help and shoulders!
