I am using an original 2007 HQ16 with the original pro-stitcher which has been upgraded to the standard version on a Studio frame. I am getting this excessive motor error strain message after it stitches at the beginning of a pass for about 3". The needle then stitches in a vertical fashion in tiny stitches for about one inch and then goes in a northwesterly direction on its own and I must stop. I just had new cpod and ppod installed as well as new encoders. I am being told I may need a new carriage at an unknown cost plus a new frame. Can a technician please tell me why this is happening and is there any possibility of a carriage being modified to fit my current expensive frame. My carriage was modified by HQ to accommodate the new glide rails when I upgraded them. Thank you.
