    Terry,

For the Loft frame, it is set up as high position or low position. You can not easily switch back and forth between the two. If you have your frame set up in Low Position, it is loaded the same as ClearView on other frames.

How do I know which way it is set up.  All I did so far was to position leaders so they are falling towards back.  Backing pole (2nd pole) is still slightly higher than quilt top pole (front).  Is this High position?

You will need to look at your installation instructions and see how you set up the frame. The way the frame is set up is what determines if it is high position or low position. Once you determine which position you have your frame set up in, then you can make sure you have the leaders on going the correct direction as well as make sure the ratchet stops are going the correct direction.

I looked at install instructions in Moxie manual as well as on “bilt”.  The manual shows a DIAGRAM of “low position”.  Neither the manual, nor the “bilt” instructions shows exactly “how to get there”.  I left a review on Bilt.  They suggest looking at the manual, also... so no help.

I totally agree!  There is only a DIAGRAM of the low position with no instructions in the manual or the bilt app.  A video of the low position set up and how to load a quilt in that position on that frame would be greatly appreciated.

Basically, to set the frame to "low" position, you take off the two ends where the bars go, and lower it down to use the second set of screws. In "high" position those two ends are flush at the bottom with the frame. In "low" position the bottom sits about an inch and a half below that. Then you have to switch the ratchet lock on bar 2 to face the other direction and use the other screw hole.

High vs low position, why pick one over the other? What are the advantages of each position? I can’t really find a clear answer to this.

    aahayes,

The low position is good for ruler work. you load the quilt a bit differently, so the top is rolling over the top of the middle bar. You can place rulers without the bar getting in the way. That is really the only benefit, but I use that position 100% of the time since it doesn't cause me issues when FMQ or panto, so why switch it out?
