I am trying to find out what the minimum front to back measurement is for both the Simply and the Amara on a Studio2 frame when not in use. I don't mean the footprint that's shown in the online charts - I understand that to be the minimum "in use" space and takes into account the machine pushed back and quilting near the idler rail.
My space requires that I push the setup against a back wall when not in use. I can pull it out to quilt, but since it would share space with my domestic and chair, I need to make it as "small" as possible. The frame length is not a concern.
Here's a picture that might help describe it better - the boards on the ironing board represent the front rail of a longarm frame if it was against the wall on the right. The "?" is the measurement I need to see if the setup will fit.
If there's anyone who can get me 3 minimum storage depths that would be great! This is front of front rail to rear of carriage (or whatever sticks out furthest to the back) measurement:
1) Simply on Studio2
2) Amara on Studio2 set up normally
3) Amara on Studio2 set up at Simply/Avante front bar spacing (I know from messaging with the person who monitors Facebook that this is an option using carriage stops and giving up a bit of the Amara's 20" depth.
Thanks so much!
