    Nancy,

I am glad to hear that you are taking care of your HQ Simply 16. I am attaching a pattern for the dust cover. It is for the Avante and the Fusion but you can adjust the pattern to fit your machine.

Another option is to cover your machine with a twin size sheet.

Kristina, I would like to make a cover for my new Amara. I’m trying to use the link above, but it must be broken as nothing downloads. Could you please reshare the file?  Thank you!

    KittyMomma55,

Try this link. You will have to scroll to the very bottom of the page and choose the "Make a Machine Dust Cover" link.

If that link doesn't work for you, go to handiquilter.com . Select Resources then User Manuals.

    KittyMomma55,

I made a cover for my Amara based on the HQ instructions for the Avante.  There were some significant changes needed for the Amara.  For example, that pattern assumes the staff that holds up the thread is in the center of the machine, but on the Amara it's not centered which is a significant difference.  Also, an Amara is a lot bigger than an Avante and the cover got pretty huge, especially if you have a ProStitcher tablet.  I broke it into 2 sections:  one for the machine and a small separate cover for the tablet on top.  There were others and it wasn't straightforward.

I invite you to join the "Amara Early Adopters" Group on Facebook.  I posted a picture of my cover and also a pdf file with notes for how I made it.  If you search within that group for "Amara Cover" you'll find my original post and also pictures of others' versions which are pretty cool.  My notes are also in the Files section of that group named "My Amara Cover.pdf" dated Dec 9, 2018.

I'm not a professional pattern designer and I made the notes as I worked mostly for myself, so I can't guarantee anything, but several people have used them and made really nice covers.
