ORGANIZING QUILT PATTERNS
Is there some software program out there to organize and manage quilt patterns on our computers? We are given a lot of designs with our system when we purchase and we buy more along the way. Some work really well and are our favorites and some not so good. Short of going in and hand picking designs and creating a 'Favorites' folder or 'Edge to Edge Favorites' folder manually, is there something automatic? It seems like there's an APP for everything these days...wondering if there is something for this function? Just curious! Thank you.

I have researched for quite some time and there are several. There are several Embroidery programs that will allow quilt Patterns but the best i believe is QPI, Quilt Pattern Indexer. it will allow you to keyword your designs... i.e. say you want borders that have hearts you can look that up. It is better to start NOW to keyword your designs because you will be buying more and you don't want to spend a ton of time going through all your designs looking for the right E2E. It's is not that expensive and it is designed for quilt patterns.

- Browse to find and see your designs: Quilting patterns AND Embroidery Designs.
- Sort into categories, create your own categories and subcategories.
- Sort your image files: very helpful to include images of designs that are on your wish list in your catalog, or keep photos of finished projects close to the designs used in those projects.

- Search the catalog by design type, category, date etc.
- Print the resulting catalog on paper or - using a PDF writer - create a PDF (to view your catalog on a tablet and show to customers).
