I was surprised to say the least that my dealer had 1 longarm on display and for demos/ trying it out etc but I was purchasing a sweet 16 with some additional accessories. She was very nice and the machine shipped quickly to the shop at my request and I picked it up. Installation of table, overlay and machine went perfectly BUT having never used one before I had hoped my dealer either offered lessons or had someone who did come into the shop to teach the basics like FMQ overall designs, swirls and feathers but since she doesnt even have one in her shop I doubt that is possible.
I am in Hamilton, Ontario Canada and emailed my dealer but an not holding my breath for any lessons being offered.
the Handi quilter site in general both US and Canada have very little help with the sweet 16 whereas everything they have is all about buying a long arm which obviously is there only priority.
Pretty disappointed that you have forgotten about the clients who are first time buys of a Handi Quilter Sweet 16 offering some help and none being there other then go to you tube and watch videos.
