Amara precision mode
I've have had this issue since I've owned my Amara, when in precision mode and I stop moving the machine, the needle proceeds to move up and down (slowly). This is a cause of great frustration as it has been looked at several times yet the issue has not been resolved. Am I missing something or get a lemon? Here is a paragraph out of the Amara manual:
"Precision stitch regulation mode is useful
for ruler work. Stitch along the length of the ruler for the span of your hand and stop moving the
machine, but do not press the Stop button. When you stop moving the machine, the needle pauses.
Move the ruler and then begin moving the machine to continue quilting. Precision stitch regulation
helps you to avoid bobbles and uneven stitches."
This is the exact opposite of how my Amara functions. My needle does NOT PAUSE! I get lots of bobbles and uneven stitches. Please advise.
Thanks

Dear Sue,
I am sorry to hear that your Amara is not performing as expected. Here is another method you can try:
When you stop stitching to reposition a ruler, turn off stitching. Unless you are holding the machine perfectly still, the needle will stitch at the slow speed you mentioned. By turning the machine off and selecting to have your needle down when the machine stops, it will allow you to reposition your ruler without causing any bobbles in your stitching. Once your ruler is repositioned, resume stitching by pressing the on/off button on the right handlebar.

Thank you for your quick response. That is what I have been doing but that defeats the purpose of being in precision mode, I might as well sew in cruise. I had an Avante that sewed in precision mode as it is suppose to and by all intent and purposes, the Amara should also function correctly in precision mode. Is there any explanation as to why the needle doesn't stop moving? Is this how all the Amaras function or just mine?
Once again, thanks for your response.

Dear Sue,
I would recommend calling your local retailer and setting a time to take your machine in and have them take a look at your machine. Your Amara should not function that way.
