Amara and needles
I'm a fairly new owner of an Amara. This is my first time to quilt on batiks. I'm using superior omni thread with an #18 standard needle that came with the machine. I'm also using a pantograph. I put on a new needle when I loaded the quilt. I've been having problems with it skipping stitches. I clocked the needle to 5:30 when it started skipping. But no joy. Then I started messing with the upper tension and the skipping became less but still not good an now the tension on the back of the quilt looks too loose (kinda laying there). I read to go up a needle size. So I ordered an #19 and a #20 High speed sharp point. I'm now second guessing what I ordered. Will the high speed needles work with the Amara? I saw that they were recommended for the Infinity.
Thanks

Dena,
Yes, the needles that you ordered will work with the HQ Amara. When you are working with Batiks make sure the fabric is not too tight on the bars. Then if you need to you can spritz the fabric with a very light mist of water.
Try the larger needles when they come.
